J2me Projects

Does anybody have j2me projects, that can be useful for the school work.
if they can provide just the specifications also , its fine.

By the way not chat server or some game, except that anything is ok.

Here are the few projects you can use them as a template to get started, then you can add more funcionality to it. Here are few good projects...

1. J2ME VNC Client : A VNC Client for J2ME (Java 2 Mobile Edition).

2. J2ME Memopad is a simple MIDP application designed to allow storage and retrieval of notes. It will have the ability to search and generate a list of results, as well as categorize your memos. The basic design of the memopad is similar to the Palm.

3. J2ME Unit Testing Toolkit : This is a Junit-like Uniting testing framework for J2ME.

4. Open Windowing Toolkit for J2ME Handsets : The Nextel J2ME User Interface Toolkit provides a core set of user interface components and permits the development of custom components. Developers can easily create UIs for J2ME-enabled mobile handsets that meet their functional and aesthetic needs.

5. J2ME Isometric Engine : An engine/framework for isometric games (like japanese RPGs) for mobile devices supporting J2ME (MIDP 1.0). This engine will manage maps, objects and characters.

6.J2ME Benchmark & Test Suite: A collection of benchmark and testing applications for J2ME devices, such as cell phones, PDAs, set top boxes and more.
