Question WorkFlow- Not able to update a field that has join.

Hi,
I am trying to update a field using the workflow.the field (in BC) is a Join Field.
When i try to update i get an error message mentioning that i cannot update a field which has join.

Could somebody answer to this.its urgent.

I heard that the joined field can be updated using Dyanamic Picklist.....check the bookshelf for this....The main feature of Dynamic Picklist is to update the join field..

I hope you've already solved this urgent issue, but here's an answer for reference:

By their nature, joined fields in a business component are not available for update. Exceptions to this rule are those fields which belong to a join to a Siebel-defined extension table (S_CONTACT_X, for example). If you need to update a joined field, you must employ another approach, like using scripting or a separate workflow step.

Hi Sumita, I dont think u can update a join field by writing script or using workflows. Pls check it out and get back to us if you find any answer for this
