Pattern reverse-engineering tools

Hi, I'm a PhD student writing a thesis on the practical (for me, that mostly
translates to "industrial") usage of Design Patterns. In that context, I'm
looking for and surveying tools that parse, reverse-engineer or otherwise
analyse program code and (try to) detect Design Patterns in that code.

I would be most grateful for any tips, pointers, or opinions on any tools
you may know. Target languages are preferably C++ and Java, though anything
widely used is in priniciple interesting. Ability to handle code volume (in
terms of running time, memory, etc.) is an important aspect, together with
the range of patterns recognised. Both commercial and non-commercial tools
are of interest.
