Validation of user input in QTP

Hi,

Can any body help me to know how to validate user input against actual input in QTP. For example-

User Input- abcd
Actual input- 1234

can anyone please help me how QTP will validate these two inputs and display result according to that (ie pass when both the inputs match and fail when both the inputs donot match)

Please help me. I am in real fix.

Thanks in advance.

regards

indranil
