Automated testing: Software testing that utilizes a variety of tools to automate the testing process.

In automation testing, user actions are simulated using a testing tool. The actions a manual tester performs are recorded, and then played back to execute the same test case.

The benefits of automating software testing are many:
• Providing more coverage of regression testing.
• Reducing the elapsed time for testing, getting your product to market faster.
• Improving productivity of human testing.
• Improving the re-usability of tests.
• Providing a detailed test log.

Hope this helps!

1) When you want to test a single feild with multiple set of data we must go through Automation.

2) When we create Automation Scripts its useful when we get any bugs in production environment, we can solve quickly.

3) And the client wants to release furthur versions its very much useful.
