WASHINGTON - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that on April 12 it conducted the computer-generated random selection process to determine which H-1B petitions, subject to the congressionally mandated H-1B cap for fiscal year 2008 (FY 2008), would continue to final processing. USCIS completed this determination ahead of the preliminary schedule noted on April 3, when it announced it had received enough petitions to meet the cap for FY 2008.

I expect in 2009 the lottery for the US masters degree holder 20,000 cap will be held on April 3 or 4, with the main group of 65,000 for H-1B visa held on April 5 or 6.

Hello guys,
Like to share an update. My employer has filed H-1B petition on my behalf.
Today, I got the confirmation dat my case was rejected without any reason and case returned.
No receipt or tracking no. nothing. My employer is saying dat it is because of no project details.
suggest me why it happens and the recourse available.
