EAD from India
My husband has a L1 visa and would be going to USA in january. I have a query on EAD on L2 visa
a. Can I apply for a EAD from India itself?? b. I know there's a biometrics part in EAD, is it possible that i apply for EAD from India(since i am working here and don't want to quit the job and sit idle for 90 days till EAD comes) and go there directly for the biometrics that would come some where after 60 days of filing the EAD application??

As far as I know, L2 status for L2 Visa holders is applicable / valid only if you are in US. If you are NOT in US then you do not have L2 Status.
After you land in USA * Get your L2 annotated I-94 * Apply for EAD on form I-765 * After you get EAD, apply for SSN * You are eligible to start your work in USA For these type of questions it is always better to get them clarified by your competent lawyer. All the best.
