configuring windows boot loader for dual boot

could any one suggest how to configure the windows boot loader for dualbooting windows and Linux?

There are different ways of doing this. Here is one good procedure for this.

If you are just planning to use this to learn unix, I would recommend you to start with Live Unix Cd witout having physically install in partitian or use any virtual pc software like vmware.
