In my country, FM Stations are recording Podcasts with all of their programs. I don't even need a radio now, I just need internet and my iPod

The first time I saw a podcast was on a airplane. They had 1 day of radio recorded speccialy for the plane. This was way before podcasts existed.. so they're kind of the "base" of today's podcasts.

yes, I noticed for the first time, a funny show I've been watching on the internet called PurePwnage, had created podcasts that one can download for free! I was at a band member's friends house the other day for band practice and we decided to try downloading it, and I'm not certain, but I think its much faster than any other way I've tried before.

Podcasting is now even getting more and more popular in small countries too where there is no other means of media. In a country like mine where there is censorship in mainstream media like TV, FM and newspapers ,here blogs and podcasts are really creating a buzz.

as a podcaster and the owner of a podcasting network, I agree that we are getting more and more people knowing what a podcast is, though its going to take windows media player or vista to integrate it and get it "mainstream"
