Server targeting explained in WebSphere Studio V5.1.1

 

The new server targeting feature in WebSphere Studio V5.1.1 lets you specify the server on which an enterprise application will be developed. Each module and utility JAR file within the application will default to the same server target as the application itself, which serves two purposes. First, it sets the Java build path to include only those JAR files actually on the target server, and second, it tells the other components of WebSphere Studio the server on which you want to install the application.
