Click next button, Select Flash Recovery Area and specify a directory location and size
Click next button, Click the Sample Schemas tab. Select Sample Schemas if you want to include the Sample Schemas (EXAMPLE) tablespace in your database
Click the next button, The Memory page appears keep the defaults,
Click the next button, the database Storage page appears. Accept the configuration or make changes as needed
Click the next button, Select Create database to create your database. You can also select Save as a database Template to save your configuration
Click the finish button, the confirmation screen will appear
Click ok
After the database is created, you can change or unlock your passwords or click exit.

hi, S, this guide gives the instructions to go accordingly in order to create databases. But the database created when tried with the url specified will pop up with an error saying as below: The requested URL could not be retrieved While trying to retrieve the URL: http://soft1:1158/em The following error was encountered: Unable to determine IP address from host name for soft1 The dnsserver returned: Name Error: The domain name does not exist. This means that: The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct. Your cache administrator is root. Generated Mon, 08 Sep 2008 07:51:44 GMT by localhost.localdomain (squid/2.6.STABLE12) So can anyone suggest me please in order to get rid of this error......... |

Hi , I have problem with creating database with Database Configuration Assistant.When I choose Create Database and dbca is supposed to show summary screen .... but nothing happens. How to trace the problem if possible? Thanks in advance. |
