Project Plan Structuring Process

By Exforsys | on August 26, 2011 |
Project Management Process

It is very important for the project manager to take the time to plan the project, and this includes the initiation as well as the specification phases. It will also be necessary for project managers to work with the stakeholders, not only for the initiation phases for the project, but also for the planning and specifications as well.

It will first be necessary to offer a name for the project, a name that will act as a clear overview of it as well as its scope. It may also be a good idea to include a number which can be used to represent the funding body, as this will be very important. Once this is done, the next thing the PM will need to provide is a synopsis for the project.

To successfully create the synopsis, the project manager must first take the time to figure out the nature of the project, as well as the context in which the project will be carried out. Included in the project synopsis should be a standard statement which is designed to explain the methodology of project management, as well as issues such as risk management, consultation, quality assurance, and many other areas.

Funding is a very important part of project management, and it will be necessary for PMs to take the time to address the source for project funding, as well as the conditions which apply to it. If there is a need for more funding, this should be made known.

The second part of project management is described as being the feasibility study. At this point in the project, the project manager will want to take the time to discuss the market, as well as research and demand. It is critical to be able to provide evidence of the product demand, and the PM must also be capable of showcasing the factors which will allow for great usage for demand for the product which is proposed.

It is important to showcase evidence for support in the industry, as well as demand for the product, which includes consultation as well. The next step in project structuring is showcasing the purpose as well as rationale for the project.

Project Rationale

To successfully explain project rationale, it will be necessary for the PM to take the time to make references to critical priorities, as well as the areas for which the project plans to target. An outline should be provided in which the outcome which is desired for the project is in close relation to not only the project team members, but the stakeholders as well.

The PM should have no problem identifying the elements or outcomes for project competence to be created. It is important to provide an explanation for why the particular parts of the project are picked, and how they are connected to delivery over the web. Including a description for many of these factors is crucial.

The stakeholders are a very important part of the project management process, and this means that any wise PM will heavily involve them. The first step in project management is to take the time to create the proper profile among the stakeholders, offering a description for the criteria to accept when it comes to the evaluation and the singing off of the project.

It is best to produce a statement which has details that speak about the collaboration that will occur with everyone involved. It is important to look at the elements for understanding which have been negotiated among the parties, and those which are responsible for showcasing the reference group.

A good project manager will also take the time to talk about the target audience. The target audience must be described in detail, and it is also necessary for the PM to explain the ways in which they are prepared for the introduction of the product, as well as the ways in which it can be delivered.

It is critical to offer a type of profile for the users of the products, describing the type of individuals who are mostly likely to use it. You could include such things as personality, belief, and social issues. These could be used as excellent benchmarks to use how the product is tailored toward said groups.

Project Specifications and Requirements

It is crucial to offer a standard description for the collection of software and hardware requirements which will allow the users to properly gain access to the necessary resources, as well as being able to work in a good environment.
